CURRICULaR ACTIVITIES

Co-Curricular Activities

Co-curricular Activities are the activities that enable to supplement and complement the curricular or main syllabi activities. These are a very important part and parcel of educational institutions to develop the students’ personality as well as to strengthen classroom learning.  Co-curricular are designed and balanced with academic curriculum so that every student gets to learn beyond subjects.

Co-curricular Activities have a wide horizon to cater to the cultural, social, aesthetic development of the child and are the true and practical experiences received by students.   Intellectual aspects of personality are solely accomplished by the Classroom, while aesthetic development, character building, spiritual growth, physical growth, moral values, creativity, etc. are supported by co-curricular activities. These activities further help to develop coordination, adjustment, speech fluency, extempore expressions, etc. among students.

The school gives a plethora of opportunities to the students to cultivate, enhance and showcase their talents. The teachers at Anand Vilas are making all efforts so that the wide range of activities could be carried out systematically throughout the year and provide opportunity to every child to participate. Further, The Teachers are introducing some innovative programs besides directing, coordinating activities and motivating students.

The co- curricular activities at school includes  cultural events, Library activities, science lab activities, classroom activities,  Elocution, quiz , Skit, Storey telling, Essay writing, Poem writing, Drawing   and painting competition,  Knitting, paper raft,  etc. These activities are clubbed with celebration of various fairs and festivals; national and international days.

Extra-Curricular Activities

All work and no play make everyone dull. It’s a universally accepted fact, and hence it’s more than necessary for a child to be doing things other than just studying. Not all students are equal, and while some may excel in academics, others can shine in sports and co-curricular activities. Whether a child likes to paint, sing or play football – appreciating them for things other than academics boosts their self-esteem.

The extracurricular activities allow children to learn something that could stay with them for a lifetime. A skill learnt could be the basis of a hobby or passion that enriches their life for many years. These activities help children to build their skills outside the classroom. In addition to building skills within a specific discipline extracurricular activities are great for developing general academic and soft skills.

The school provides a conducive and an encouraging environment for students to pursue their interests and hone skills in their choice-area of activities besides co-curricular and academic pursuits.
